Return and Refund Policy
Our policy on returns, refunds, and quality guarantees for custom 3D printed items.

1. Custom Manufacturing Nature
All items produced by LayerzLoom (operated by Spyxpo Technologies Private Limited) are custom manufactured to your exact specifications using the 3D model files you provide. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, standard returns and exchanges are not applicable. Each print is unique to your order and cannot be resold or reused.
We are, however, committed to delivering high-quality prints and have established the following policies to ensure your satisfaction.
2. Quality Guarantee
Every print undergoes a quality inspection before shipping. We check for:
- Dimensional Accuracy: The print matches the specified dimensions within acceptable tolerances for FDM printing (typically +/- 0.5mm).
- Structural Integrity: The print is free from significant warping, delamination, or layer separation that would compromise its intended use.
- Surface Quality: The print surface is consistent with the selected material and quality settings, with no major defects such as blobs, stringing, or missing sections.
- Completeness: All parts of the order are present and match the selected material, colour, and add-on specifications.
Please note that minor variations in colour shade, layer lines, and surface texture are inherent characteristics of the FDM 3D printing process and do not constitute defects.
3. Defect Claims
3.1 Reporting Period
If you receive a print that is defective or does not match your order specifications, you must report the issue within 48 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for resolution.
3.2 Required Documentation
To process a defect claim, you must provide the following:
- Your order number.
- Clear photographs of the defective item showing the issue from multiple angles.
- A written description of the defect and how it differs from the expected result.
- If applicable, comparison images showing the expected output from the 3D model preview.
3.3 Evaluation Process
Our quality team will review your claim within 2 business days of receiving all required documentation. We will assess whether the issue constitutes a manufacturing defect (our responsibility) or a design issue (inherent to the provided 3D model file). We will communicate our decision and next steps via email.
4. Reprint Policy
If our quality team confirms that the issue is a manufacturing defect, we will offer a free reprint and reship at no additional cost to you. Reprints are subject to the following conditions:
- The reprint will use the same 3D model file, material, colour, and specifications as the original order.
- Reprints are typically manufactured and shipped within 5 to 7 business days.
- In rare cases where a reprint is not feasible (for example, due to material unavailability), we will offer a full refund for the affected item.
- We may request the defective item to be returned for inspection. If so, we will provide a prepaid shipping label.
5. Refund Process
5.1 Eligibility
Refunds are issued in the following circumstances:
- A confirmed manufacturing defect where a reprint is not possible.
- An order that was not delivered within 15 business days of the estimated delivery date due to reasons attributable to us.
- An order that was cancelled before manufacturing commenced (see Section 6 below).
5.2 Refund Method
Refunds will be processed through the original payment method used at checkout (via Razorpay). Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
5.3 Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Prints that were manufactured correctly but do not meet your expectations due to errors in the original 3D model file.
- Change of mind after an order has entered manufacturing.
- Variations in colour, texture, or layer visibility that are within normal FDM printing tolerances.
- Shipping costs for orders that were successfully delivered.
6. Cancellation Before Printing
You may cancel an order at any time before manufacturing has begun. Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible after placing the order. The following rules apply:
- Before Manufacturing: Full refund of the order amount, including service fees and packaging charges.
- During Manufacturing: Cancellation is not possible once printing has started, as the item is being custom produced.
- After Shipping: Cancellation is not possible once the order has been dispatched.
To request a cancellation, contact us immediately with your order number. We will confirm whether manufacturing has commenced and process your request accordingly.
7. Shipping Damage Claims
If your package arrives with visible damage to the outer packaging or the print inside has been damaged during transit:
- Document the damage immediately with photographs of the packaging and the item.
- Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery along with your order number and photographs.
- Do not discard the packaging material, as it may be needed for the shipping insurance claim.
- We will work with our shipping partner to resolve the issue and arrange a free reprint or full refund for the damaged item.
